Student welfare is of prime importance at Coogee Boys’ Preparatory School (Coogee Prep). Christian principles underpin our values and the School is committed to providing a nurturing, supportive learning environment where boys develop into Gentlemen, Scholars and Sportsmen.
Coogee Prep has a duty of care to its students to provide a safe, caring, learning environment where students can develop their academic, physical and social skills. In turn, the School expects its students to display a high standard of personal and social behaviour. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their behaviour and accept the consequences and outcomes of their decisions and actions. Boys are expected to act responsibly and cooperatively while at School, representing the School or interacting with the local community.
The School has developed a number of policies relevant to student well-being. These include policies covering:
- Child protection
- Student discipline and behaviour
All policies relating to student well-being underpin the School’s commitment to provide a safe, respectful and positive environment which meets the needs of both students and staff.
